Karma; what we do today, will affect us in one way or another tomorrow
Kids; our children, our future
Sanctuary; a calm, safe haven where you can just be yourself
When we are kind to ourselves, when we look after our health and wellbeing, when we choose positive thoughts and actions, we create more happiness in our lives.
This is sometimes known as good karma.
When we are not kind to ourselves, when we neglect our health and wellbeing, when we think negative thoughts and make unwise decisions, we create unhappiness in our lives. This is sometimes known as bad karma.
Put simply, we all want to be happy, have good karma in our lives and feel calmer. But with the world today being so full of stress and our daily lives being super busy, we just might forget to look after our health and wellbeing. This can lead to our minds feeling stressed and overwhelmed and soon our bodies might start to feel this too. Stress can cause us to have problems with sleep, with our appetite, we might suffer with headaches and stomach problems, we might feel really worried or tired all the time. This is a big sign that we need to slow down, relax more and pay a little bit of attention to ourselves.
Karma Kids Sanctuary is here to encourage all children to create good karma. To understand that by looking after yourself now, developing good habits to help with relaxation and allowing your mind to switch off from all it's busy thoughts, will help you feel calm now and feel good in the future.
Karma Kids Sanctuary is a safe space where children can come (with a parent) for relaxation treatments aimed at reducing stress and feeling calm.
There are also specific treatment packages focused on increasing relaxation if there are conditions present such as
ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) or Anxiety.
Karma Kids Sanctuary was created by Heather, who has been providing holistic treatments to women for 4 years through her company, Sanctuary Home Healing. She has been a Holistic Therapist for 10 years and combined this with being a stay-at-home Mum to her 3 children so she knows the needs of children first-hand. After realising there was very little holistic therapy (meaning treating the person as a whole - Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual) for children and teenagers, she wanted to offer her services in natural relaxation to the younger generation. After all, adults get so much benefit out of holistic treatments, so why shouldn't children?
She works from her home in Portsmouth, in a beautiful calm space with soft colours, gentle music and a special diffuser which sends out lovely-smelling aromas in the room to help you feel relaxed. Mum can wait in the same room and lounge back on a comfortable velvet sofa and chill out too!
It really is a perfect place to escape from the outside world and feel relaxed, calm and let the good karma happen.
Appointments are available at Karma Kids Sanctuary from Monday to Friday (9.30am to 8pm) and Saturday (10am to 1pm).
